This will be my sixth year of participating in the fundraising for this walk. Jessica's Heroes is such a good organization helping so many cancer patients financially. They have even directly assisted me with covering the cost of testing I required last year that wasn't covered by insurance. 

This is also my sixth year of surviving this high risk version of Multiple Myeloma. It has been a hard fought journey and I'm in a very good place right now. The 8th line of treatment that I started in December put me into remission within a month and I remain in remission currently. I feel the best I've felt in a few years and am very thankful for that. It is so important to support the cancer organizations that help develop new drugs to combat these diseases (my treatment was just approved 6 months before I started it). It is equally important to support organizations like JH who support the patients financially. Often new drugs come with a large out of pocket expense and patients need assistance to be able to afford them.
