5th Annual 5k Run/Walk
  
Our certified 5K certified run/walk winds its way through the heart of small town America with the purpose of supporting cancer patients as their hero.

Named in honor of Jessica Froelick who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 34 leaving behind her family and friends, this run/walk recognizes the hero within each of us. Jessica was the epitome of the compassionate advocate for cancer survivors like herself. She supported others going through treatment in every way she could - through fundraisers, benefits, volunteering, and lending assistance wherever she was needed. She was a source of strength and grace and will always be missed.

This run/walk is our way of honoring her example - as her heroes. We transform into everyday heroes each time we act out of love, showing courage in the face of overwhelming fear by holding a hand, offering comfort, and assuring our support.

Jessica's Hope Lap
For Survivors & Children up to age 12
The Heroes Lap represents so much that Jessica loved and supported. She always found hope and resources for survivors, as well as for the children of our community. Making it an additional .3, bring the total distance to 3.4 miles, represents the age at which we lost her; 34.

When you register and raise $25 you receive a FREE shirt.
Registration must be in by September 4th, 2022.

Event proceeds benefit those that are battling cancer that live in the Oneida, neighboring communities of Oneida, or are being treated in Oneida, NY. This past year we were able to help over 100 families all because of heroes like you.

Jessica Jones Froelick

September 27, 1983 – November 5, 2017

 

The Jessica’s Heroes Foundation was formed to honor and carry on the caring work of Jessica Froelick. Jessica passed away at the young age of 34 from Metastatic Breast Cancer. Jessica bravely fought this very difficult and trying battle for 7 years.

Born in Oneida on September 27, 1983, she was the daughter of Charles and Debbie Jones. A lifelong resident of Oneida, NY, Jessica was a graduate of Oneida High School, class of 2001. She later received her degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Morrisville College. Jessica was married to Joe Froelick and they have 2 young boys Logan and Tyler, the joy and light of her life.
